365 Days of Blogging – Day 10 [January 11th] Part III

We had 41 views on the blog yesterday which is an all-time high, but Layton is unsatisfied. He wants 200. Side Note: Is it unsatisfied or dissatisfied. Here is your language lesson for the day.

Unsatisfied has a similar meaning to that of dissatisfied, but the words are not quite interchangeable. To be unsatisfied is simply to be less than fully satisfied. The same event might leave one person actively annoyed (dissatisfied), but another person merely less than 100% happy (unsatisfied).

You are welcome.

That’s all for now. More to come.

365 Days of Blogging – Day 10 [January 11th] Part II

Today we are going to visit Jane’s Carousel underneath the Brooklyn Bridge. It will take us just a little over an hour to get there and I’m sure he will only want to stay for 30 minutes, but I’m not working today, so we need to do something fun! I think he will love this.

I just asked him if he wanted to go and showed him a picture. He said, “I’ve done that before and I want to do it again.” First of all, he’s never done it before. I think he might be confusing the smaller carousel at Bryant Park with this one, but whatever. He wants to go, so we are off in about 45 minutes. I need to let my phone charge up. I forgot to do it overnight. Oopsie.

That’s all for now. More to come.

365 Days of Blogging – Day 9 [January 10th]

Not the most flattering morning video of me, but I’m not too concerned. I haven’t had my coffee yet. On my way to get it while Layton stays in the room. Just a short walk around the corner in this blustery cold winter weather.

On the list to do today — We are headed into town. I bought an umbrella stroller while we were in Staten Island on Wednesday, so Layton doesn’t have to walk as quickly as I do, or for as long as I do. When I am in NYC, I do nearly 15,000 steps/day. The first thing we will do when we get to Penn Station is find a guy selling blankets, so I can wrap him up. It’s so freaking cold. That way he will last through the evening.

My plan is to see an apartment, too. There is one in the Upper West Side that is a true studio and I’m interested to see how small it is. It’s only $1,495! The sleeping quarters are lifted into a lofted space and there is a wooden ladder to get up there. There is no real kitchen area, just a kitchenette without an oven/stove and only a small dorm-like refrigerator. Why am I even interested? Who knows. I want to check out the neighborhood, I guess, to see how walkable it is.

That’s all for now. More to come.
